Register to Drive one of our Cars in the Next Soap Box Derby!
The Annual All-American Soap Box Derby is held each May at Phil Moore Park Soap Box Derby Track.
The Knights of Columbus Council 1315 has a total of 3 cars that we make available for our kids, grand kids, parish members, St. Joseph students, etc. The Council will pay the entry fee for our drivers, which gets them registered for the race, and a chance to go really fast in the coolest set of wheels they'll ever drive!.
There are 2 Cars for the Stock Division--Designed for kids ages 8-13 (They must be 8 years old by race day and not turn 14 on or before August 1). There is 1 Car for the Super Stock Division--Designed for kids up to 160 lbs. (They must be 10 years old by race day and not turn 18 on or before August 1).
The driver and an adult must be able to transport the car and attend a Construction Workshop generally held on a Saturday about a month before the race.
Rules for the car construction change from year to year and some changes may need to be made to comply with these rules.
A drawing will take place if there are more entrants than we have cars. Please get the names of the kids and the adult(s) to Gabe Cabral by April 1st of the year you are registering for to be included in this drawing. Email:
